BALL MASTERY HANDBOOK
Ball Mastery, or the acquisition of ball feeling, is the very first, essential step of technical training. Warm-up is an essential part of our professional material. Players learn to control the ball with the sole, foot, outside and inside of both feet. Acquiring technical skills is a fundamental requirement for the success of passing & receiving, 1v1 moves and, later, tactical systems as well.
Why is this important?
The number of quality ball touches is directly proportional to the speed of the player's technical development. So, Ball Mastery is extremely important in the development of individual skills. Its dynamics and thematic structure are adjusted to the players' skills, so their individual skills develop dynamically in a positive atmosphere, with a continuous sense of success. The younger a player is, the harder it is to hold their attention. The dynamic, varied and interesting exercises of Ball Mastery type warm-ups capture the attention of even the youngest players and have a positive effect on their concentration skills.
The structure of Ball Mastery
Ball Mastery is structurely based on difficulty levels. Planning the process of a warm-up is largely dictated by the skill level of the players. In addition, of course, it is the training goal, and in rarer cases, it can even be used as the foundation of a specific tactical formula. We always start from the "simple" to the "more difficult". This is also true for the warm-up itself and the exercises. On the Ball Mastery Pyramid representing Ball Mastery, you can clearly see that Ball Mastery from standing and from moving are located next to each other, and the "peak" of this is the variations. The most important one, which can be seen in the middle, is the number of ball touches. The alpha and omega of Ball Mastery is the number of ball touches. It follows that the focus is not on the player's speed, not on the unrealistically dynamic training, but not on the competitions either. The number of ball touches holds the entire Ball Mastery training together. We design the field system, the direction of movement, the exercises, the resulting variations and distractions around this. And the warm-up would be worthless if a player touches the ball only 50 times in 15 minutes.
Who do we recommend?
The development of individual skills cannot be tied to age. It is useful for everyone, from the youngest to adults. Of course, in this broad spectrum, the method of technical training for different age groups is different in each case. Inherently, we have to train the players technically up to a certain age, so that tactics can gradually take over the main role. This is - as we know - the 13-14 years. However, in practice (in reality) this does not happen, or in the rarest cases, since if the players do not have the ability to perceive the ball, their tactical training will not be successful either. Therefore, in fact, technical training up to the adult age groups is useful and even necessary.
The success of every tactical system and formation depends on the technical skills of the players. If the player does not have all the technical foundations that modern football requires, he will not be able to progress, his tactical training will be ineffective.

CONTENT

We paid special attention to presenting the exercises and movements as clearly as possible, in addition to presenting the thematic structure and the various possibilities for mistakes to our readers.
How long should the Ball Mastery warm-up be? What exercises should I use? What do variations mean? Our professional material answers all questions!

MATERIALS
We have also prepared ready-made training plans for our ebook, which, as an example, help colleagues integrate and acquire all the knowledge they read in our book into practice, or they can even use what we have provided without any modifications.
Our professional material divides training plans into two categories. First, we present three, which are separated by difficulty levels: basic, intermediate and advanced. After that, we present our recommended Ball Mastery warm-up for 4 age groups: 4-8, 9-12, 13-16 and 17 to adults. The training plans are developed and can even be used in their entirety without modification.
ATTENTION!
Our manuals are not physical products. They can be accessed and read in digital form via our website.
